Child Arrangement Application Process

A child arrangement application is a legal process used to determine the arrangements for the care of a child when the parents are unable to agree on the terms themselves. It is usually used in situations of separation or divorce, where both parents have different ideas about how the child should be raised or where they should live.

The application is made to a court and sets out the proposed arrangements for the child, including where they will live, how much time they will spend with each parent, and how decisions about their upbringing will be made. The court will consider the best interests of the child when making a decision, and will take into account a range of factors, including the child’s wishes and feelings, their relationship with each parent, and their physical and emotional needs.

It is important to note that a child arrangement application should only be used as a last resort when other methods of resolving disputes have failed. It is often recommended that parents try mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution before applying to court.
